2022 Scarbough Competition

On November 26th, our 3 teams went to our first FTC Competition in Scarborough! Our teams had some ups and downs during the competition, but we d had so much fun! We have learned so much from participating in the competition and from talking with other teams. We learned what we can do to improve our robots, and are excited to participate in our next competition, on December 10!

Packbots

Packbots ended up winning 2 out of their 5 games, and in 18th place, but this competition gave them inspiration and motivation for the next one. Their robot kept having issues, a string on their robot continued to break and had to be strung again many times, but the team did not get frustrated and did not give up. They showed Gracious Professionalism® and worked hard on their robot even after all their matches finished.

Slay Queen

RBG

The majority of RBGs members are brand new to robotics, but their team was very successful in this competition, making it to the quarterfinals as the first pick for the 4th alliance. The autonomous was able to park, earning their team 20 points in every sucessful match. Their keen enthusiasm and support were infectious in the stands and they strive to improve their robot and make it to regionals this year!

Tundra

Tundra is the Hayden Robotics team with the least members, however, their team was able to make the greatest strides in this competition. They had mishaps and struggles at first, they even were not able to move their robot right before the qualifying matches, but ultimately got their robot moving and ready to play. They showed amazing support in the stands and played with great strategies on the field. They were the 2nd pick for the 3rd alliance and were 2nd place in the competition!
